Continue reading below for more information.

What to Bring When I’m Buying or Leasing

1. Driver’s license.

Your driver’s license will be used as a form of legal identification, but if you’ve test-driven a vehicle with us before, we’re likely to have it in our records.

2. Social security number.

Bring your social security card with you if you don’t have your number memorized. From a tax perspective, we’ll need your social security number, even if you decide to buy a vehicle with cash. The IRS mandates that nearly every financial transaction over $10,000 needs to be reported.

3. Proof of car insurance.

Laws in all 50 states require drivers to have some form of car insurance if you’re the owner. We’ll need you to bring proof of insurance before you can move forward with your vehicle purchase.

4. Wallet or checkbook.

Don’t forget your wallet! We accept a range of payment methods for your new Honda and used vehicle, and you can choose from a variety of options: financing, cash, credit card or a cashier’s check.

5. Proof of employment, residence and salary.

Bring several pay stubs and articles of mail showing your name and delivery to your current address.
