Benefits of Choosing Hybrid Vehicles in Elmhurst, IL

With now five electrifying models in the Honda lineup, Honda aims to continue their legacy of engineering efficient, eco-friendly vehicles that can be your go-to for grocery errands, road trips and everything in between. Honda’s three hybrids, one plug-in hybrid and one fuel cell* are changing the way consumers view the practicality of driving a non-gas-powered vehicle, and with HEVs — or hybrid electric vehicles — becoming more and more popular, Honda has plans for even more to join the family. If you’ve been considering a Honda hybrid, you’ve come to the right place. There are several advantages to driving home a hybrid — keep reading to learn what they are.

Benefits of Choosing Hybrid

Ecofriendly

Eco-friendly

With a Honda hybrid at your command, you’ll be giving the earth a little breather. Lower carbon emissions are a given with any hybrid, and now with many boasting over 45-50 MPGe, you’ll find that your impact on the environment is much less than when you drove a gas-powered vehicle. The Clarity Fuel Cell, for example, has an MPGe that reaches up to 68 combined,* while all-electric models qualify as zero-emission vehicles, too. Get the transportation you need without the massive carbon footprint in your wake.

Higher MPGe also means you’ll have a healthier wallet when you drive a hybrid. Those high efficiency engines will save you in the long run on gas expenses, plus, since hybrids don’t use their gas engine as frequently, you won’t have to stop by our service center to have an oil change, engine belt replacement or transmission fluid flush quite as often either. Between the money saved on fuel and maintenance, driving a hybrid is just as practical as it is kind.

Tax Incentives

Tax Incentives

Not only will your long-term costs be reduced, but your upfront costs could be as well. Tax incentives from the federal and state governments are great reasons to purchase hybrids, plug-in hybrids or all-electric models. The U.S. Department of Energy provides rebates and credits on qualifying auto purchases in order to build and maintain a market for electric vehicles, so why not take advantage? If you’re curious about which incentives our Honda vehicles qualify for, visit the Alternative Fuels Data Center and select your state.

Warranty

Warranty

It’s not common knowledge, but many hybrid and all-electric vehicles can carry better standard warranties than their gas-powered counterparts. For example, the High-Voltage Battery Limited Warranty has coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.^ Some hybrid warranties will even transfer from owner to owner, so if you see a used Honda hybrid, it might still have its original warranty intact. But don’t worry about the health of your hybrid’s battery — bring it by our service center to our technicians to perform a thorough inspection.

Welcome to the electric future.
