2020 Honda Accord vs. 2020 Volkswagen Passat
2020 Honda Accord vs. 2020 Volkswagen Passat
Once again, Honda has figured out how to improve on a classic model: the 2020 Honda Accord. But we don’t know how they do it. Not only does the Accord carry titles from Kelley Blue Book®, U.S. News & World Report and Car and Driver,* but it’s been the favorite in American homes for decades. The 2020 Accord is the tried and true midsize sedan that has the ability to transform into anything you need it to be. A sleek interior with a plethora of amenities, intuitive technology that can compete with the standards for luxury vehicles and a choice of two turbocharged engines mean the Accord effortlessly matches a variety of lifestyles while promoting personalization. It’s one of those cars that once you try it, it might be your go-to model when you’re ready for a new car.
Here at Honda on Grand, we know that the 2020 Honda Accord is the best out there. But we may be a little biased ?— that’s why we’ve placed a top competitor, the 2020 Volkswagen Passat, side-by-side so you can see for yourself how the two compare:
2020 Honda Accord | 2020 Volkswagen Passat |
---|
Available Turbocharged Engine |
Best Available Transmission | 10-speed automatic with | 6-speed automatic with |
Standard Rear Exterior Lighting | Tail lights with LED brake | LED tail lights |
Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control | Standard | Available |
Standard Touchscreen Size | 7.0 inches | 6.3 inches |
Available Head-Up Display (HUD) |
Standard Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) |
You can probably see why the 2020 Volkswagen Passat hasn’t won the awards that the 2020 Honda Accord has. While it does offer a turbocharged engine and standard LED tail lights, the Passat lands flat. The Accord has both LED brake lights with integrated LED light bars, a stylish perk of a well-designed model. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard on the Accord as well, a feature that’s offered for a larger price tag on the Passat, and the Accord carries a massive 7-inch touchscreen that will display available Apple CarPlay® or available Android Auto™. An available Head-Up Display is a high-end technology feature offered on the Accord, but not on the Passat, while Adaptive Cruise Control, an immensely helpful safety feature, comes standard on our favorite Honda.
